I have loved painting and drawing my entire life. As a little girl I would spend hours drawing and painting everything. In college I studied all forms of art but I kept returning to my passion – painting. My work has been influenced by Monet, Matisse, Pisarro, and Van Gogh. Before starting a family I painted background sets for our local theater. And while raising three beautiful children, I painted and sold furniture to keep up my painting skills. As an empty nester I started selling my art and jewelry at various markets in the Dallas/Ft Worth area, channeling my outdoor enthusiasm reflecting nature, landscapes and flowers. I am new to Washington State and have only recently moved to Bainbridge Island. I’m so amazed at the beauty here and I find my watercolor has become bolder with my use of color. I also frequent St. Thomas Usvi at least twice a year and love painting the sea, the beaches and surrounding beauty. My goal is to catch your attention by showing the beauty that is around us.
