Linocut prints and textiles
Creating linocut art starts with drawing an original image on paper. It is then transferred to an actual piece of linoleum. Next comes my favorite part – using wood carving tools to carve out your image. Lastly, colors are blended, all pieces are hand inked and run through a hand cranked printing press. All of this leads to each piece definitely being one-of-a-kind.
I’m continually inspired by the flora and fauna of our abundant Pacific Northwest environment. My work has been on display at BARN’s “Think about Ink” event, juried for the Bainbridge farmers market and spotlighted for the Bainbridge First Fridays Art Walk.
I’m currently creating home textiles, limited hand printed pictures and professionally printed notecards.
