Ornaments & silver jewelry
My current works are made from a variety of metals and are meant to decorate people and the places in which they live. After nearly 35 years making jewelry, I’m very excited to add ornaments and small sculptural works to my repertoire as a way to reinvigorate my relationship with metal.
My undergraduate study of history and love of travel inform a great number of the objects I make – pieces influenced by Viking Age hoards, Islamic mashrabiyas, mid-century modern aesthetics, and product packaging from around the world.
When not working in my studio, I can be found teaching kid and teen metalsmithing classes, hanging out with my own children, or somewhere in another part of the world.
