I’m not sure if I chose rocks or if they chose me but the results speak for themselves. The thing I enjoy most about lapidary arts is, most of the hard work has already been done! My job is to bring out Mother Earth’s beauty for all to enjoy. Some would argue that working with stone is hard work, but I think no work is hard if you love it. My passion for the beauty I find in these semi-precious stones is my inspiration, the stones sort of dictate the style of the setting with the patterns and colors they display. The settings are in .999 Fine Silver, to keep things pure, and are set in the old-world technique of bezel rolling, where in the silver is what holds the stone, there is no adhesive or glue to secure the stone, just the rolling of the bezel. I try to keep the settings clean and simple so as to not detract from the stone, after all, the setting is just a display for the beautiful stone! Over the years I’ve managed to acquire quite the collection of stones to work with and I am constantly on the lookout for more .So, if you like what you see, keep an eye out for what comes next!
