The Artists
Johanna Muench
Mosaics
Johanna has been in corporate information technology for 25 years, and, on a lark, took a mosaics class in 2023 at the Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network aka BARN. She has been creating mosaic art pieces ever since and participated in BARN Bazaars selling her artwork. Prior to mosaics, Johanna designed and fabricated custom trellises, which she still continues to this day.
She donated a Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired trellis to the BARN’s largest fundraiser gala, Night at the BARN, in October 2024.
Her other trellises can be found in private gardens in Western New York.
While she enjoys designing and welding metal, the opportunity to color outside the lines with broken glass has propelled her into a whole new world. Continuing to learn mosaic techniques and doing stretch projects, the fun themes of her mosaic works are delighting old friends and new friends alike.
