Sea glass jewelry & art
Suquamish, WA
I find and collect authentic Washington and California sea glass then up-cycle it into jewelry, mosaics, sun catchers, wine stoppers, key rings and pens. In addition to the sea glass, my jewelry may contain artist hammered fine silver, gold-filled or copper wire and gemstones and freshwater pearls. Not all of my jewelry contains sea glass, but it is still “sea themed” in color, components, and/or style.
My sea glass mosaics are done on existing items, such as frames, boxes, mirrors or vintage windows. I make my own chalk paint and paint the items to give them a rustic look, like weathered seaside cottages. I adhere my found sea glass, sea pottery and shells on the items, then grout to give it a sandy shore look and feel.
My sun catchers and wind chimes are hung from driftwood or sea weathered metal and include artist found sea glass.
My stacked home accessory items are double or triple drilled sea glass that fits over stainless steel rods for pens, wine stoppers, swizzle sticks or other kitchen components.
