Sea glass jewelry & art
Suquamish, WA
I love sea glass!
I find and collect authentic Washington State sea glass then up-cycle it into jewelry, mosaics and sun catcher/wind chimes. In addition to the sea glass, my jewelry may contain artist hammered fine silver, gold-filled or copper wire, gemstones, freshwater pearls and vintage chandelier crystals. Not all of my jewelry contains sea glass, but it still is “sea themed” in color, components, or style. All my sea glass is authentic, however, if pieces from Agate Passage are too rough or sharp, I will grind or acid bathe them to get rid of the unsafe edges.
My sea glass mosaics are done on existing items, just as frames, rocks, boxes, mirrors or vintage windows. I make my own chalk paint and paint the items to give them a rustic look, like weathered seaside cottages. I adhere my found sea glass and sea pottery on the items, then grout to give it a sandy shore look and feel. My sun catchers and wind chimes are hung from driftwood or sea weathered metal and include artist found sea glass.
