The Artists
Jeremy Cole
Mixed media assemblage
Humble planks of wood form the foundation for these assemblages, which incorporate treasures found in friends’ pockets, along woodland paths and shorelines, in roadside ‘free’ piles, and in places that recycle. Add fresh paint, paper and photos, and a visual mystery unfolds. Grounded on construction left-overs, embellished with acrylic, fabric, encaustic wax, and ‘found’ objects of every kind; held together with nails, screws and glues—each unique piece tells a story.
I have been working as a Jungian-oriented psychotherapist since 1997. Dreams, shared stories and the collective unconscious supply the Archetypal images that weave through my art. Since first exhibiting in 2023, my work has been in two private shows, one three-month solo exhibition, a juried show, and is in a Gallery in Port Gamble.
