I am a self-taught woodworker who creates unique pieces with a focus on beauty and functionality. I allow the individual properties of wood to serve as inspiration so the final products reflect the wood’s natural character and ecology. I especially seek out wood that has interesting features like spalting, figuring, burls and curls that can be showcased to create striking patterns that are truly organic.

I employ a wide variety of woodworking techniques, from traditional to modern, to produce lovely and unique items for the home such as Japanese kumiko lamps, cutting and charcuterie boards, keepsake boxes, and end/coffee tables. I primarily use domestic hardwoods, but I also use a literal rainbow of exotic hardwoods. To add further flourishes to my work, I use methods like CNC and laser engraving, epoxy resin, gilding and fractal burning. I constantly challenge myself with new methods to keep my work fresh and fun.
