I have a daily passion to create art! Currently, I make jewelry from enamels on copper and I also work with fine silver, copper, and bronze metal clay. The techniques used vary depending on the material. With liquid enamel I paint mountain scenes, ravens, trees. I also sift layers of powder enamel to create abstract paintings, add glass stringers and embellish with CZ’s or semi-precious stones. When creating with metal clay, I use stamps (which I make myself), hand carve images of owls, wolves, dragonflies, whales and other creatures our Earth. I love to integrate techniques and materials to form a one-of-a-kind piece of artisan jewelry.
My inspiration is derived from nature. I love the infinite light patterns made from sun, wind, shadows. I find the textures and colors of nature fascinating and I’m amazed how everything is in constant flux. The beauty of nature is fascinating!
I work in a home studio and have sold my art at Pike Place Market for 14 years. I also received a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art in the early 70’s.
Thank you. Wishing you an inspired Life journey.
