The Artists

Donna Lark comes from generations of garment makers. Her love of the outdoors led her to pursue degrees in Environmental Education and Landscape Architecture from the University of Michigan. Fiber art allows her to combine her tailoring heritage with her environmental career pursuits, creating whimsical felted pieces inspired by the natural world. She uses a similar skill set in designing garments as she does in designing a garden. There is a similar flow of color, form, texture & structure. Her goal is to complement the structure of the human body. Her work ranges from colorful wearable art to sculpted animal ‘masks’ to 3D felted vessels. Her work has been exhibited at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art, Pacific Northwest Quilt and Fiber Arts Museum, both Northwind Gallery and Grover Gallery of Port Townsend, Chihuly Garden and Glass Bookstore. She has participated in the Port Townsend Wearable Art Show in 2017-2019, in addition to numerous Fine Art Shows across the country including the Baltimore American Craft Council Show.
