My mixed media assemblages are based on fairytales, myths, bible stories and on popular sayings or idioms. Story collages are large pieces based on some of my favorite stories, and include a small book of the story embedded within each collage. The Idiom Collages focus on whimsical expressions and images, and include familiar sayings like "Raining Cats and Dogs" as well as expressions that are most common in the South such as "Eating High on the Hog." All my pieces use unusual and sometimes personal items such as pearls from my Grandmother's necklace to add dimensionality and interest to the pieces.

I am constantly experimenting with new images and techniques, and expect that my work will continue to develop and evolve over time.
